First prize: New York
The winning team of 2015 visited one of the most significant cities in the world - New York.
During their four-day stay they had the chance to get to know Bertelsmann even better than they did while TMB. At the Penguin Random House headquarter on Broadway the students listened to company presentations of Penguin Random House and Arvato North America. Of course, exploring the city was an item on their agenda, too. At the top of the One World Trade Center – unfortunately – zero visibility was given due to heavy fog. But, a boat trip on the Hudson and a Broadway Musical Show brightened up the trip again!
Second prize: Madrid
In October 2015 the winners of the second prize met in the Spanish capital - Madrid.
During the three-day trip, the TMB participants explored the city via Segway and attended a flamenco show. In addition, students got to know the Spanish businesses of Bertelsmann, BMG and Arvato. The trip ended with a typical Spanish tapas tour through the historic centre of Madrid.
Third prize: Munich
The winners of the third prize met in the south of Germany – in Munich.
Besides visiting a brewery and a famous beer garden, the group also learned much about the different businesses of the publisher Verlagsgruppe Random House. Together with the CEO of Verlagsgruppe Random House they discussed about the future challenges and opportunities in the German publishing market. As to the beginning of the famous Oktoberfest some of our talents even extended their stay in Munich and expanded their wardrobe by a Dirndl or a Lederhose to try out the “Wiesn”.
