The Brand Solutions Manager at G+J Ute Brade about her impressions of TMB 2012. 

About TMB:
I participated in TMB during summer 2012. At that time I had already started my Master’s thesis for my MBA in Media Management at Hamburg Media School so I was very interested in discovering some interesting companies for a later job after finishing my MBA. In addition, I wanted to talk to other students in media studies and discuss career paths with them.

All in all TMB was a successful event, where I learned a lot and gained great impressions! In particular, I liked the presentation of the workshop results. It was great to get the chance to present our ideas in front of the business representatives and obtain their feedback. 
 
What happened afterwards:
I finished my exams in October 2012. During my studies I was very interested in a career at Gruner + Jahr. I got my first contacts with and impressions of G+J during an internship in the Netherlands in 2011. Finally I met some business representatives from G+J in Germany at TMB and got good insights into that company, the employees and its corporate culture, which convinced me a lot. So I applied for a job at G+J Electronic Media Sales in December 2012.

What I’m doing now:
My application was successful, so I’ve been at G+J EMS since January 2013. I’m working as a Brand Solutions Manager in the Mobile Unit of EMS. I am responsible for some brands in our portfolio, and I am the interface to the marketing and sales department. I am also responsible for business development themes, such as the canvassing of new clients from abroad.

I’m proud to work for G+J because we have strong brands in our portfolio with which I can identify. Especially in the Mobile Unit, we are a young and dynamic team where decisions are implemented fast. Mobile advertising is a growing market with exciting prospects and new issues every day, which makes the job very varied.
