Aimie-Sarah Henze, 2012

"The creative tasks on the first day with the aim to get to know your team was lots of fun and a great opportunity to prepare for the workshops on the second day. I was fortunate to work in a great team with interesting and talented students."

Anne Kaestner, 2011

"TMB gave me the chance to interact with interesting people from a variety of Bertelsmann divisions, and I learned a great deal about the Group and its corporate culture firsthand. After three intense days exploring the world of Bertelsmann, I was willing to consider other attractive entry-level jobs as well."

Saruul Krause-Jentsch, 2015

"Talent Meets Bertelsmann is much more than just a recruiting event, it really IS a networking extravaganza. On the first day, Bertelsmann asked us to work on a creative task, which was a lot of fun and a great opportunity to get to know our team members."

Best of Workshops

Various divisions and diverse teams: Together with experienced company representatives the participants work on case studies focusing on the future trends in our business areas media, services and education.

Jenny Dreier, 2013

"The workshop was intense and with a great team, we managed to develop a new concept for Bertelsmann’s BePrinters division in order for it to leverage the digital developments for their business. Besides getting to know Bertelsmann as a company there were many opportunities to get to know the other participants as well as the media business in general and most importantly: it was a lot of fun."

Benedikt Dalkmann, 2008

"The event – which in 2008 was still called Talent Meets Media – was simply fantastic. The workshops were stimulating, the social program was a lot of fun, and the participants were curious, open-minded and fun. I was inspired by the many facets of Bertelsmann and the entrepreneurial mind-set of the executives whom I spoke to."

Kathrin Mocek, 2012

"During our workshop sessions, we had the chance to get to know our mentors from the eCommerce area at Arvato. For me, it was very interesting to learn more about this division of Arvato and about the market trends in electronic software distribution (ESD), which was our workshop topic."

Best of Presentations

The teams present their ideas and solutions in front of members of the Bertelsmann Executive Board. Attractive prizes are awarded for the best ideas and designs.

Eric Aufricht, 2012

"Our goal was to develop a new smartphone-only publication for Gruner + Jahr. After intense discussions, we presented our ideas and concepts to the jury, which included top managers such as Thomas Rabe and Thomas Hesse, and discussed our business case with them, as well as with other Bertelsmann managers."

Ute Brade, 2012

"All in all TMB was a successful event, where I learned a lot and gained great impressions! In particular, I liked the presentation of the workshop results. It was great to get the chance to present our ideas in front of the business representatives and obtain their feedback."

Tessa Niemann, 2013

"TMB is a great opportunity to take a look into so many interesting facets of Bertelsmann and to present your ideas and visions in front of the Bertelsmann Board."

Best of Networking and Party

An unforgettable experience: After the case study presentations and award ceremony, participants enjoy a memorable party, which includes not only a live concert from a BMG music act, but also the opportunity to network with other guests: students, TMB alumni as well as Bertelsmann entrepreneurs and executives.

Katrin Voges, 2012

"TMB was an amazing experience, with a perfect organization, inspiring people from all over Germany and very different backgrounds, a challenging program and an incredible party on the second night. Overall it was a great opportunity to network and find out about job options within the Bertelsmann Group."

Jenny Dreier, 2013

"TMB was a lot more than just another employer branding event. The whole event was perfectly organized and besides getting to know Bertelsmann as a company there were many opportunities to get to know the other participants as well as the media business in general and most importantly: it was a lot of fun."

Annika Senkovic, 2010

"The TMB event offered a lot: interesting and challenging group work, great care by employees and executives of the Group's divisions, an attractive and well-organized program with an "after-show party" where you had the chance to get to know many company representatives and party together in the evening."

What happened after?

The Talent Meets Bertelsmann community already includes more than 600 outstanding members. Former TMB participants share their stories: What happened after Talent Meets Bertelsmann?

Jana Latzel

"I participated in TMB in 2012. Afterwards I finished my internship at careerloft in Berlin, then enjoyed the summer at my parents before writing my Master’s thesis in Montréal, Canada. During all that time I never lost contact with Bertelsmann, which was great for me, since I was looking to start a job right after my thesis."

Svenja Ziegert

"When TMB was over I returned to London, where I finished writing my Master’s thesis. After handing it in, I spent the five months from October 2011 to February 2012 in Brussels as a Blue Book trainee with the European Commission. Then, at Halloween, I joined the other team members and the leaders of our group on a trip to New York!"

Saruul Krause-Jentsch

"After TMB, I finished my master’s degree at the University of Amsterdam and then took off to Asia to travel and get to know different cultures (and different kinds of stomach flus). During that time, Bertelsmann’s HR department kept in touch with me. Nico Rose then posted a job opening in our TMB Facebook group, which is the position I work in today."
